When you’re in your GP block, you’ll get one Self Directed Learning (SDL) session per week . That’ll either be AM/PM session.

Which day will depend on your rota/practice manager.

Most GP practices are very flexible if you give them enough notice if you wanted to arrange SDL for a particular time in the week.

Below are a list of recommended Self Directed Learning (SDL) activities from trainees:
